About Us!

PurrFect Pets Mobile Grooming started its engine on October of 2010 after I researched better ways to serve my pet customers and their owners. After working for five years in a high-energy, high-traffic, very busy corporate salon and watching how this affected my pet customers I wanted to be able to offer a service that was less stressful and more convenient.

Mobile grooming was the answer! In mobile grooming I come right to you which eliminates the car ride to the groomer's and in some cases starts the whole “stress” process. It eliminates your pet having to sit in a kennel with other stressed pets around it awaiting its turn. It eliminates the stimulation of having other pets and groomers in the salon adding to the tension and emotions of being groomed.

Instead of a “one-kind-fits-all” philosophy I use only high-quality grooming products, specifically chosen with your pet's special needs in mind. I offer your pet one-on-one attention from the time I pick them up at your door, until I return them to you. I do not have to answer the phone, help other customers, or pay attention to anything other than the safety and well-being of your pet.

I am a Certified Master Groomer with membership in both the National Dog Groomers Association of America and the Professional Cat Groomers Association of America. I started grooming in my teen years when my parents bought me my first poodle. In the early 1970's, I worked under a professional handler showing AKC dogs and learned to groom poodles, terriers, and other popular breeds. In 1976, I opened Canine Castle, a grooming salon in Mesa, Arizona, where I groomed dogs as well as cats. During this time, while professional pet grooming was gaining in popularity, I competed in grooming competitions in the Southwest and on the West Coast and won many awards. I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1989 and worked for Kingsmark Kennels where I groomed private customers as well as Kingsmark's champion line of collies and continued competing as a professional groomer. In 2005, I moved to Lebanon, Tennessee and worked as salon manager when PetSmart opened their doors in Providence Marketplace. I was transferred to their Hermitage location in 2008, where I worked until recently.

I like to keep current on grooming trends and attend seminars and workshops throughout the country, so please be patient if I am not always available to groom your pets because chances are I am away learning to be a better and safer pet stylist!
